EUPHORIA Project has received more than 100 registrations🎊

 We are euphoric about the great success of the EUPHORIA project, which has reached 100 registrations from young researchers across Europe.

This incredible response has truly exceeded our expectations, and we are excited to begin the activities with this dynamic group in the upcoming year.

As we approach the holiday season, we would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas 🎄and a Happy New Year 🎆!

EUPHORIA Project Kick-Off Workshop had a great success 🎉

Thank you all for your incredible interest in the EUPHORIA project! 🤩

The information meeting held on Zoom last Tuesday (26 November 2024) was a fantastic success, with an impressive peak attendance of 107 participants. We were thrilled to see such enthusiasm and engagement from the community.

EUPHORIA Kick-Off Workshop: Dive into the Project Vision

On November 26, 2024, join us via Zoom for the first workshop which will introduce you the EUPHORIA project! This kick-off session will dive into the project vision, objectives, and execution plans, featuring presentations by former project leaders and an open Q&A session. Don’t miss the chance to participate in the meeting by filling out the registration form available here and to get involved in the project from day one.

Applications Now Open for the EUPHORIA Project 🪷🌿

This is an opportunity to join a Early Career Research initiative focused on aquatic plant phenology across Europe. 

Participation requirements: 

  • Participants include Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD students, as well as early Post-Docs who completed their PhD no more than three years prior to January 1, 2025.
  • Participants should be a current member (or become one) of any limnological society affiliated with the EFFS  by January 1, 2025.
  • Motivation to learn more about Aquatic Plants
  • Participants should have availability to conduct fieldwork in 2025 from spring to till autumn following an easy and standardize field sampling design. Fieldwork will consit of regular visits to a freshwater site with aquatic plants.

Selected participants will gain valuable experience and insights, benefiting from collaboration with emerging freshwater scientists and expertise in diverse environmental topics.

EUPHORIA won the 5th FreshProject 🥇

We’re excited to announce that EUPHORIA (EUropean plant PHenOlogy Research In Aquatic systems) has been selected as the winning project for the 5th Collaborative European Freshwater Science Project for Young Researchers, known as “FreshProject”. This initiative is organized by the European Federation for Freshwater Sciences (EFFS) and European Fresh and Young Researchers (EFYR). This two years project will be dedicated to the  understanding of aquatic plant phenology across Europe. The collaboration between Early Career Researchers (ECRs) from various European countries will foster exchange of expertise, skills, and passion.This project will be an opportunity to drive meaningful collaboration and cultivate innovation across freshwater ecology.
